On its own, it doesn't seem like a lot to go on, but it's backed up by Spanish TV station El Chingruito, who report that the player has specifically informed former Barcelona team-mates that this will be his last season in Paris.

The Catalan giants sold the forward to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, but the Brazil global has frequently been linked with an exit from the Ligue 1 side.

A separate Mundo Deportivo cover story this week claimed that a Barca return for Neymar was "not impossible" and Spanish radio added that president Josep Maria Bartomeu has sounded out the club's hierarchy about a sensational move.

The reports claim that the Brazilian feels like he is being overshadowed by French youngster Kylian Mbappe at the club.

Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 scoring 105 goals and notched up 77 assists in 186 appearances before moving to PSG in the summer of 2017.

However, latest rumours have suggested that Barca were contemplating making a move to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou and Bartomeu did little to dismiss such talk.

Amidst the transfer talk, his club and worldwide teammate Marquinhos has sarcastically wished the LaLiga duo "good luck" in a future attempt to lure him away from the Parc des Princess.

"So I don't see any reason why he should leave".

Real Madrid have regularly been linked with a move for Neymar, although statements from the club have denied that a few times, while talk of Barca's interest in re-signing the 26-year-old has gained traction this week.
