Jared Goff Should Rebound Against 49ers

Report: Kupp ‘could miss some time’ with MCL sprain

It's a west coast matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7, where the Rams remain the only unbeaten team in the NFL.

A fully balanced game has eluded the 49ers through the first six weeks. "It was a team effort". Goff completed just 50 percent of his passes and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time all season.

Savage was signed this week as the third-string quarterback.

The Rams are welcoming back K Greg Zuerlein this week after parting ways with Cairo Santos.

The 49ers' offensive line has been one of the team's bright spots - both in pass protection and run-blocking. The Rams will be missing reliable receiver Cooper Kupp, which hurts the Rams passing attack.

The Rams need Gurley to continue performing at a high level without overusing him. But the Rams' quarterback should have no trouble making do with wide receivers Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks against this defense.

The key to the Rams' top-ranked offense is deception, whether it's being able to execute run and pass plays out of the exact same formations, or trick defenses with run fakes before trying deep passes downfield.

On Monday night, October 15, the Green Bay Packers escaped with a last-second victory over the San Francisco 49ers in a comeback win, sealed by a Mason Crosby field goal after he struggled the prior week vs. the Detroit Lions. I get that the 49ers played the Packers close, but c'mon. Gurley leads the National Football League this season with 11 touchdowns and 632 rushing yards.

Recording a touchdown in each of the first six games for Los Angeles is impressive, but if Gurley manages to increase that streak to seven while putting the Rams in great position to earn the win over the 49ers, that's even better. Gurley leads the league in rushing with 623 yards and 9 touchdowns, averaging 103.8 yards per game.

After watching him put together a career day last weekend by rushing for 208 yards on 28 carries to go along with two trips into the end zone, don't be surprised if Gurley adds to his touchdown total this Sunday when facing the 49ers.

But their 310 yards per game ranks sixth in the NFL. "The rest, all I have to do is really just run". The 49ers have too many injuries to compete against the loaded Rams. "But when you get a guy like that who can go for 200 and take a lot of pressure off me and certain things they were doing to take away some of the stuff in the pass game".
