Apple's October 30 Event: What to Expect

Apple Special Event is scheduled at 10:00 am EDT (7:30 pm IST) in Brooklyn on October 30.

The event's tagline is "there's more in the making", and techies believe that Apple will finally showcase their iPad Pro and low-priced MacBook Air.

Apple is expected to announce new iPads, there are also rumors of updated laptops as well. Share your thoughts on Apple's October 30 event in the comments.

Two new versions of the iPad Pro are expected to be launched.

Apple hosts an October event every other year, to promote products missed in the larger iPhone event in September.

Apple might also announce a new Apple Pencil that connects to the iPad Pro based on its proximity to the tablet.

Some experts are predicting the new iPad Pro will feature an all-screen display which will cover nearly the entire front of the device. Since the iPad range is marketed as a tool for graphic designers, it's not the biggest stretch to take this as a sign the newest iPad will make an appearance. It will also ditch Touch ID and the audio jack.

Along with a new iPad, there's plenty of rumours suggesting that Apple will release a new MacBook Air. Both are destined to feature minimized bezels, similar to the iPhone X, and feature Face ID with the TrueDepth camera system on board.

This isn't the first we've heard of a switch to USB-C either, with respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo saying the same, while another source has said that a USB-C port will be used to allow the iPad Pro 2018 to support 4K external screens.

Apple could give release details for AirPower, a wireless charger for iPhones and Apple Watches announced previous year, as well as second-generation AirPods headphones that work with it.
