The new Spider-man costume has leaked, and it's apparently a hit with fans.
Kimmel pushed: "Is this movie a prequel?"
The new costume is distinctly different from those Holland wore in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War.
And that's when Holland suddenly hears "Thanos robbing a bank" and has to make a super-speedy exit.
Kimmel is referencing Marvel's biggest, baddest villain yet literally snapping his fingers to eliminate half of existing life in the universe at the end of the last "Avengers" movie, leaving just the original Avengers alive to strike back. While the show will air tonight, the clip has already made it to YouTube, with Kimmel's trusty stagehand, Guillermo Rodriguez, running around wearing a Spider-Man mask.
Many of the Marvel favourites are expected to return in Avengers 4, despite meeting an ashy end in Infinity War.
Spider-Man: Far From Home, directed again by Homecoming's Jon Watts with Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley on script duties, filmed in various locations around the United States and Europe - which presumably lends itself to the Far From Home subtitle.
"Give me back my mask", Holland yelled at Guillermo with a NYC traffic cone on his head, and then removed it to confirm to the delighted audience it was indeed really him.
