Deputies used Doritos to lure a large, wayward pig back home after it escaped in Highland on October 13, 2018.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office responded to the call on Saturday to try to lure the wayward pig back home.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff officers made a trail with the chips to get the runway back home. "It was fun!" one of the pig-wrangling deputies said, according to the Sheriff's Department's posts on social media.
Responding deputies Shelly Ponce and Ashleigh Berg were reportedly familiar with the cunning ham, who'd escaped from a nearby residence.
The popular flavored tortilla chips turned out to be a very effective lure when it came to convincing the pig that it was time to return home.
Apparently, it wasn't their first encounter with the mammoth pig.
"We were able to put him back in and secure the gate", Deputy Ponce said, according to the post.
'Crime fighting to safely securing a mini horse sized pig, we do it all, ' the department joked.
