Scarlett Johansson to Reportedly Earn $15 Million for Standalone Black Widow Movie

BLACK WIDOW Earns $15 Million Payday for SCARLETT JOHANSSON - Report

Scarlett Johansson Getting Equal Pay for 'Black Widow' Standalone Film (Report)

Scarlett Johansson is set to rake in big bucks for the upcoming Marvel flick "Black Widow", according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Considering that Johansson has been Black Widow longer than Evans or Hemsworth have played their heroic counterparts, it is disappointing that they have waited this long to give her the same amount of money compared to her male co-stars. Also, random quick piece of trivia: all these actors added around $100 million to Avengers: Infinity War's budget - good thing that movie cracked $2 billion at the box office, right? THR also says that actors typically get a bonus depending on the film's performance at the box office. It's worthy of note, however, that Downey made $500,000 for his first Iron Man film.

THR reports that "multiple knowledgeable sources" confirmed this salary to them, though Marvel is disputing the figure.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War" brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time.

Marvel Studios is yet to launch the marketing campaign for Avengers 4, but we are starting to get a few leaks of early promotional artwork; a couple of months ago we got the above team shot, and now some toy packaging has surfaced which seems to indicate that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be getting some matching team outfits in the Infinity War follow-up. It was an emotional day to say the least. Johansson's work in the MCU and other films made her the second highest paid actress a year ago. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories!

It was previously announced that Cate Shortland will be directing the Black Widow solo film but no other details have yet been made official.
