Saha chastises Pogba for ‘attack comments

'He's so good', Manchester United delighted with midfielder's performance vs Newcastle United

Pogba should have kept views to himself - Saha

With Jose Mourinho recently stripping Paul Pogba of the vice-captaincy at Manchester United, the Frenchman has now insisted he does not need an armband to be a leader in matches.

But should the 49-year-old opt to take a job outside of the Premier League, he would still be entitled to negotiate a full compensation package with Chelsea.

Hugo Lloris lifted the trophy in Moscow in mid-July as Didier Deschamps' captain, and Pogba said he would continue being an influential figure in the squad even if he never replaced the Tottenham goalkeeper.

Pogba has faced criticism for failing to repeat his impressive performances at the World Cup for United, who have slumped early in the season.

"I think he has done it on objective, and I don't think that is right", Saha said at the AFDP Spirit of Soccer launch.

So I don't think it was appropriate."Following Pogba's critique, media reports circulated that Mourinho was on borrowed time as United coach". They gave me confidence as well. I spoke with Hugo (Lloris), Blaise (Matuidi), (Raphael) Varane, to say that this World Cup we really had to put everything in place to win it.

"You don't have to be captain in order to speak, a leader is not someone who has the armband", he is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "This is my opinion and I would have said that to him, I would say "no, that's not something to say because you are not the manager". "But I hope with all my heart that it's one of the four, because there is [also] NG [N'Golo Kante]".
