The zoom is now aided by a Super Res Zoom feature, which uses computation photography from the world of astronomy and scientific imaging to provide sharper details when you're zooming. The barebones Pixel Slate model will cost $599 and include 4GB RAM, a 32 GB solid state drive, and an 8th generation Intel Celeron processor.

Google launched its line of high-end phones two years ago to better compete against Apple, Samsung and other device makers. That screen gives Google Assistant another way to relay information to you, one that doesn't require you to be constantly barking commands. Powered by Android 9 Pie, Pixel 3 comes with the latest Android operating system.
