Apart from the repositioning of the fingerprint reader, the OnePlus 6T evidently experiences mainly internal changes. In the run-up to the presentation, there was already a lot of speculation about design and features, but now we have a first official picture of the new OnePlus 6T - and the name is finally confirmed. The company has also roped in Bollywood celebrity Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador and in the short promotional video, we got a glimpse of the new phone's back panel. Under the hood we're expecting a Snapdragon 845 processor.
Also, OnePlus is expected to sell OnePlus 6T with T-Mobile carrier contract deal in the United States, a first in the company's journey since its inception in late 2013.
The publication showed an alleged image of the OnePlus 6T's lock screen that shows a fingerprint icon, presumably highlighting where the user needs to place their finger in order to take advantage of the feature.
While we all are waiting for OnePlus to make an official announcement regarding the launch date of OnePlus 6T, Amazon India has started teasing the upcoming smartphone already. The leaked render, unfortunately, though, fails to confirm whether the forthcoming flagship will have the new so-called "Waterdrop" notch. Additionally, OnePlus 6T will also boast face unlock capability, but it is not sure if it will be on par with the Apple iPhone X (review).
These are an updated USB-C version of the company's acclaimed Bullets V2. The main image shows a OnePlus 6T in a Mirror Black finish sporting a dual rear camera setup and not the triple camera setup that is fast becoming a trendy smartphone feature since Huawei's P20 Pro launch back in March. It will be interesting to see which special edition 6T OnePlus will be launching.
