Apple No Longer Bundles 3.5mm Audio Dongle With New iPhones

Right Apple. Justify the new iPhone XS and XR pricing. Bet you can't

XS stands for XSive price

The introduction of the iPhone XS and XR also sees off the original X, SE, and iPhone 6, which are no longer available directly from Apple.

September 12 was the date when Apple unveiled its 2018 iPhone lineup including the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR in Cupertino, California.

Apple iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus 64GB is now available at a new price of Rs 69,900 as compared to its previous price tag of Rs 77,560. iPhone 8 Plus with 256GB in-built storage will now retail at Rs 84,900. The background reading feature will not work when the handset has never been unlocked since boot-up, core NFC reader session is active, Apple Pay Wallet is in use, video camera is in use, or airplane mode is enabled, on any of the new iPhone variants. We saw leaked A12 benchmarks before the event that hinted the 2018 iPhones will have no match from Android vendors, and now we have scores for the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR that prove the same thing. It makes sense that Apple is now ditching the 6, as the firm typically limits its lineup to the three most recent generations.

Eliminating the headphone jack is also a noteworthy move. The iPhone XR is the cheapest device with the 6.1 LCD screen with a resolution of 1792 x 828 pixels.

However, avoiding Apple's requisite dongle, which enables users to plug 3.5mm headphones into the Lightning connector, is now impossible.

Therefore, if you were in love with the smaller 4-inch compact form factor or don't want to part with the headphone jack on an iPhone, you can try your luck with the SE and 6S till stocks last.

Those devices, plus the iPhone X, are no longer available through Apple's website. The iPhone 7 now starts at £449/$449, and the 7 Plus at £569/$569. Moreover, Apple locally assembles iPhone SE and iPhone 6S models in India.

In China, the iPhone XS supports single-SIM while iPhone XS Max brings support for dual SIM.
