PUBG Mobile has just hit a huge milestone

PUBG Mobile Now Has Over 100 Million Downloads on Android iOS

PUBG Mobile has crossed the milestone of 100 million downloads in fewer than four months since launch

Tencent and PUBG Corporation announced this week that the title has eclipsed 100 million downloadswithin 4 months (not including China, Japan and Korea).

Within the announcement of the major milestone in terms of downloads, the developers on PUBG mobile say that there is much more to come in the months ahead.

PUBG mobile is doing really well: it's been downloaded more than 100 million times since release.

GameSpot reports that Fortnite already passed 100 million downloads on mobile in July, back when it was only available for iPhones and iPads. The game was earlier available on Xbox One and PC but in March as in the day when PUBG Corporation chose to leap to iOS and Android, the game become a craze in people across the globe excluding Japan, Korea, and China.

"We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year", PUBG mobile boss Vincent Wang said in a statement. By May, it had over 10 million daily users worldwide.

However the PUBG Mobile monetisation system still needs some work.

PUBG Mobile is the mobile adaptation of the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. The updated content allowed Tencent to increase purchases where it reported a hike of 365 percent after a premium progression pass was rolled out to the users. The sponsored event based on the film "Mission: Impossible Fallout" adds new outfits, challenges and other cosmetics to the game. Also, Fortnite is only available for Apple devices, with the Android beta version launched for non-Samsung devices only last week.

PUBG Mobile was released through the App Store and Google Play internationally on March 19. The game is developed by Tencent Games and PUBG Corp.
