Huntsman, who now co-hosts Fox & Friends Weekend, is set to replace Sara Haines, who announced her departure from the long-running ABC show last week to join the third hour of Good Morning America.

The long-running daytime talk show features discussions on current events, entertainment, politics, and more.

The new View will see a lineup comprised of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain, and Abby Huntsman.

Before the Huntsman announcement, former "View" cohost and "Fuller House" star Candace Cameron Bure told Fox News that she hoped the series would add another conservative voice to join McCain at the table.

At Fox News Channel, Huntsman served as co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, a substitute co-host on programs such as America's Newsroom and Fox & Friends, and before that worked as a correspondent. Huntsman made waves with plenty of her Fox viewers over her leaving the Mormon church over support for equal rights for women and LGBT persons. She joined Fox News as a reporter in 2015. Prior to that, she worked for MSNBC and HuffPost Live.

Huntsman, 32, is the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.

She's married and has one daughter. I'm not going to sit in a makeup chair for an hour and be like, "Then I'll go get the story". That way, if anything happens, I'm ready to go.
