Idris Elba linked to James Bond AGAIN amid producer's comments

        NEVER SAY NEVER Elba

Daniel Craig has one more go at playing James Bond, to which he has publicly expressed his discontent, but who will take over the titular role as 007 once Craig's final film is done?

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the role, and Idris was first revealed to be a front-runner back in 2014 when leaked emails suggested he should be cast.

A report in British tabloid The Daily Star suggests actor Idris Elba, who played business-minded drug kingpin Bell in the acclaimed HBO drama The Wire, could be next in line to play James Bond.

Last August, Craig had revealed he would return to the iconic role one last time, having previously played Bond four times: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre.

Idris, 45, is in the running to take on the coveted role.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said: 'It could be a woman - could be a black woman, could be a white woman, ' he said.

According to multiple reports, Equalizer 2 director Antoine Fuqua recently met with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli and talked about the franchise, presumably because his own name has come up before in connection with directing future instalments.

The Independent say that producers are "leaning toward" the English actor for the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig vacates it - which will be after the next Danny Boyle-directed outing. MGM will distribute the film domestically while Universal Pictures will handle global distribution. I'm over it at the moment.
