Officials have not yet said how many people died in the Ride the Ducks boat accident, the report noted, though some initial reports indicate it may have been at least six people. The boat reportedly capsized as severe thunderstorms were moving through the area and has since sunk, according to KSDK-TV in St. Louis.

The Stone County Sheriff confirms fatalities involved in a duck boat capsizing on Table Rock Lake Thursday. It's also unclear how many people were injured, as Radar says the recovery efforts are ongoing and some passengers are still not accounted for.

National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Linderberg said a top wind speed of 63 miles per hour was measured around 7 p.m. Thursday at Branson Airport. A dive team was assisting.

"This is going to be all night into tomorrow", he said, "we're still going to be working on this".

Nielsen said the coroner's office is on scene. Other people are being treated at local hospitals, and divers are still searching for possible victims.

A spokeswoman for Ripley's Believe It Or Not said the company is aware of an incident involving one of its tour boats. "Several ambulances have transported patients and the coroner has been requested", Nielsen said.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
