And on Friday the daughter of Alaskan politician Sarah Palin confirmed the news via her Instagram, sharing a portrait of her and her three offspring with a camera crew in the background for her announcement.
This is just insane: TMZ reports that Bristol Meyer, née Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate/current Sacha Baron Cohen target Sarah Palin, will be a cast member on the next season of Teen Mom OG, MTV's show documenting the lives of former teen moms who are now adult moms.
She became pregnant with her first, Tripp, at the age of 17 as her mother was running for VP alongside John McCain. She competed in "Dancing With the Stars" in 2010, finishing in third place, and returned to the ABC series for its all-star edition in 2012.
Bristol will join cast members Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell following Farrah Abraham's recent exit. The young mom went through some ugly custody battles, and her husband, Dakota, filed for divorce back in February after two years of marriage.
As fans know, this isn't Palin's first TV gig.
The "Teen Mom OG" cast is reeling over the news that Bristol Palin has reportedly been cast as Farrah Abraham's replacement, especially that their liberal producer would hire a staunch conservative. "It was unsuccessful, and now with another teen mom, they can keep trying to replace, but there is not a replacement for me [sic]". I hate that kind of stuff.
Teen Mom OG season eight is expected to air on MTV this fall.
