Get a behind-the-scenes look at Riyad Mahrez's arrival at Manchester City after becoming the club's record signing.
Mahrez was wanted by Man City manager Pep Guardiola in January but the club did not meet Leicester's valuation of the player, prompting the Algerian to hand in a transfer request and skip training.
City were the dominant force in English football last season, breaking numerous records on their way to the title, and Mahrez is now hopeful of helping them to carry that over to the Champions League.
Speaking at his formal unveiling at the City Football Academy, Mahrez said: "It's a club who wants to win this type of trophy". I thought what City did previous year was wonderful, it was unbelievable to break all those Premier League records, but I am confident about myself. It is a goal.
"Pep is committed to playing attacking football, which is ideal for me".
"The exact moment when Mahrez chose to sign for Manchester City. If I can help add quality".
Despite City spending £60m on the 27-year-old, questions have been asked about where the former Leicester forward will fit into Pep Guardiola's plans.
Mahrez could make his Premier League debut in City's opening game at Arsenal on August 12.
"I never thought about it", he told reporters on Thursday. "I am very confident about myself".
"The most important thing is I'm here, happy and starting a new challenge and a new life", he said."[January] is in the past, I'm here now.it's what happened before and I'm happy now.
"I want to thank all of you for welcoming me to the club right from the start and continuing to give me the belief and encouragement to achieve what we have together".
