Tragic end for World's Ugliest Dog

‘World’s Ugliest Dog’ Zsa Zsa dies at 9 years old

The world’s ugliest dog Zsa Zsa the English Bulldog has died

"I'm in shock still", she told CNN sister network HLN. On the death of the English bulldog, who in the contest for the ugliest dog, held in the United States, had a landslide victory, said the owner of the animal Megan Brainard. "I haven't even processed her winning and fame".

After Ms. Brainard adopted her, Zsa Zsa spent her days lounging around, refusing to do much of anything unless food was involved.

"From the moment we saw her lovely face, we knew we would be her forever home", her owners said in a statement on the contest's website.

Just nine days after receiving her title, nine-year-old Zsa Zsa passed away in her sleep. "We take millions of pictures in my family, so now we have her face everywhere to remind us of her", added Brainard. She named the dog in honor of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor.

Zha-Zha was found in a nursery in Missouri at the age of five.

Zsa Zsa was up for the title of Ugliest Dog against some fierce competition: a blackhead-covered Chinese crested-dachshund mutt, a bulldog mix with excess wrinkly skin and a Pekingese named Wild Thang.
