But Charlotte will have a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the Academy Award-winning actress late this summer when she comes to uptown's Belk Theater as part of an eight-city national tour to support her debut book, "Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love, and Baking Biscuits".
Witherspoon will release "Whiskey In A Teacup" on September 18 and is scheduled to stop by the Magnolia Silos in Waco a few days later. I'm gonna spill the tea on Southern living: food, beauty, decor, you name it - and I'll bring a special guest to each stop!
The tour starts in New York City on September 17 and includes stops in Charleston, S.C. (Sept. 18); Charlotte, N.C. (Sept. 19); Louisville, K.Y. The book, which is available for pre-order at many places, including Barnes and Noble, will be available for purchase on September 18.
According to AL.com, tickets will be available for purchase Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The actress, producer and author will stop in the Queen City on her Whiskey in a Teacup book tour. For the Alabama stop, ticket prices range between $39.50-$79.50 and also include a copy of the book. "I'm so excited to travel around the country and meet more strong women and share our stories", Witherspoon said of her book in a press release.
