Last December, Microsoft introduced a preview version of Whiteboard, a Windows 10 app that's exactly what it sounds like: a digital version of the conference-room staple, with the ability for multiple people to scrawl notes and drawings and otherwise hash out ideas in a shared space.
The stylus-based tool is now available for download by Windows 10 and is soon coming to iOS users as well, Microsoft said Thursday. You can also unpin the toolbar for an immersive reading experience. This image carries even more components than its NanoServer and ServerCore siblings, meaning it can support applications that have additional API dependencies.
A key addition to the PDF Reader in the Edge browser is that all tools in the toolbar now have a text description.
Microsoft's announcement explained that delta updates tended to have larger file sizes (around 300MB to 500MB) than express updates because the delta updates have "the full component (not just the individual files)".
While the rollout of a new Preview will delight Insiders, some are going to be less happy about what Microsoft is also announcing. The company says, "We are getting close to the point in the development cycle where our focus will be on stabilisation for RS5". For now, those who opted into the "Skip Ahead" ring are being put back into the "Fast Ring", with the "Skip Ahead" option temporarily disappearing from Settings.
Security updates to Internet Explorer, Windows apps, Windows graphics, Windows Shell, Windows datacenter networking, Windows wireless networking, and Windows virtualization. These new feature will be rolled out to all Windows 10 users as part of the Redstone 5 update later this year.
Starting with this build, line and column numbers are displayed when Word Wrap is enabled in Notepad.
The use of express updates can potentially lower the bandwidth hits that organizations face each month with Windows 10 quality updates. The update titled "2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 (KB4338819)" comes with both security and non-security improvements.
