Apple released macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 on Monday, adding support for AirPlay 2. The rollout also includes an update for the Apple Homepod smart speakers with version number 11.4.1. AirPlay 2 support is also naturally included in macOS Mojave, now in public beta, but will be a welcome surprise for those users who are still on High Sierra.

As Apple released tvOS version 12 in June, it is expected 11.4.1 will be the last update to this version. tvOS will be released to the public this fall and is now available to developers and public beta testers.

Apart from that, the macOS 10.13.6 update fixes an issue that may prevent the Photos app from reading AVCHD media from some cameras. It also claims to fix an issue that prevented some Mail app users from moving a message from Gmail to another email account. macOS Mojave 10.14 is now in beta. Let's see what's new in the latest updates rolling out on your devices now. Once the download is completed, a popup will appear, click on continue to install the update on your device. Both updates are already available and should be ready for download for all Apple Watch and the 4th and 5th generation Apple TV owners.

If you want to get this update onto your HomePod then you can either wait for it to happen automatically or fire the installation off manually via the Home app on your iOS device.
