The freakish lie Trump told is a self-aggrandizing whopper about how servile Kimmel supposedly was when Trump appeared on his show years ago, with Trump claiming that Kimmel stood around on the sidewalk of his studio's building waiting for him and then opening Trump's vehicle door for him.
Jimmy was deep in the Montana wilderness on vacation when Donald Trump took aim at him during a rally by telling a very freakish lie about his experience at the show.
"For the record, not only was I not on the sidewalk waiting for him, opening the door of his car-I didn't even go to his dressing room to say hello before the show".
"Right, including you I'd do it for nobody because that never happened!" I don't even think he'd deny it, ' he told the crowd at the SC rally on June 26.
"Jimmy Kimmel would meet me, before the election. 'Oh here he comes, Donald Trump.' He opens my door". "We all know- like even the people who like the president know he makes things up, but still, it's weird to hear him tell a lie that's specifically involves you".
"It's a amusing thing", Kimmel told the audience. "Because all of a sudden you're like wait, no, he's lying!"
Kimmel explained that he nearly never even says hello to guests in their dressing rooms before the show.
"That's not ideal, but I wouldn't change anything I said", he told Winfrey in O Magazine. "I feel dumb saying hello to them and saying hello again 10 minutes later".
The host then sent out a camera to the studio's front door to show his audience how impossible it would be for Kimmel to wait for guests out on Hollywood Boulevard, where the sidewalks are busy with tourists, celebrity impersonators, and a insane guy holding a snake.
To drive this point home, Kimmel sent a camera to the front of the studio to show the chaos of tourists, costumed buskers, and even a man with a snake outside.
What do you think of Kimmel's response?
Mr. Kimmel then told a joke about what really happened when Mr. Trump showed up at the studio. It was 2007, ' he said.
"He had a half-finished bucket of chicken under his arm".
