Chart-topping rap star Cardi B is reportedly counter-suing her ex-manager for $15 million.
The Bodak Yellow performer said that Shaft exploited her on the numbers end of the business, as he sought to take not only a 20 percent commission, but asked for half of the proceeds she earned off of her Sony publishing contract.
The lawsuit filed by District Attorney Paul LiCalsi in NY stated Shaft used Cardi B.'s money for leisure such as "personal travel, entertainment and expenses" and his staff withdrew "loans" without the star's consent. The lawsuit alleges that Shaft was "a self-serving and controlling personal manager" who breached "contractual and fiduciary duties to Belcalis Almanzar, an immensely talented and trusting young artist".
In a statement to Page Six, a rep for Raphael says: "The facts are simple - Cardi B's music, image and rise to superstardom were all developed and executed by Shaft and his team of writers and producers".
Shaft has yet to respond publicly to Cardi's latest move.
In legal papers she filed on Thursday (05Jul18), that have been obtained by TMZ, Cardi claims Shaft's management deal was way too one-sided, and he went after too much of her money.
He sued in April after the celeb left him for other management.

In one instance, he said Offset contacted him late previous year, saying he was a "snake" who had taken more than his fair share of Cardi B's earnings. The lawsuit also alleged that Cardi B defamed Shaft in social media by accusing him of "robbing" her.
Cardi B is now one of the hottest hip-hop artists with the success of her smash hit "Bodak Yellow" previous year. Shaft, said Cardi, was trying to tell her who she should and shouldn't see romantically.
Raphael is seeking at least $10 million damages through the suit.
