Warframe is a free-to-play, third-person, co-op shooter set in an ever-evolving universe. Warriors of blade and gun - masters of the Warframe armor.
Free-to-play games still have a questionable reputation amongst some players, but Warframe is one game that everyone praises for its fairness and its vast amount of content.
During today's TennoLive (formerly TennoCon), Digital Extremes announced a partnership with developer "Panic Button" to bring Warframe to the Nintendo Switch. Warframe is also known for it flexible mod system, the ability to join clans, and massive open worlds.
As a reminder, Panic Button has been responsible for a number of Nintendo Switch ports. You can tell from the gameplay shown in the trailer that the performance and visual effects aren't quite up to par with the game's current look on other platforms when playing in handheld mode.
Warframe is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch release date coming soon.
The port will be carried out by Panic Button, who have already weaved seemingly impossible magic by getting Doom, Wolfenstein II, and Rocket League working on Nintendo's diminutive console. It seems now we finally have our answer as to what the mystery game is.
