Sarah Huckabee Sanders booted from Virginia eatery

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Kicked Out of Restaurant on Moral Grounds

The news was then shared in a soon-tweet by Clean Virginia executive director Brennan Gilmore, before being eventually confirmed by Sanders herself on Saturday.

CBS News has reached out to the restaurant.

A restaurant owner in Lexington, Virginia is speaking out in their own way and making it VERY clear how they feel about Donald Trump's policies... by kicking his Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, out during dinner! Others see the actions as an inevitable effect of extreme public outrage at a policy that many see as deeply unethical and un-American, with shades of fascist ethnic warfare.

However, some reviewers were angry at the restaurant for the way they treated Sanders and her family.

"Bigotry. On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA", the 62-year-old former governor of Arkansas tweeted. "Or you can ask for the 'Hate Plate, '" Huckabee said in a tweet, quickly generating 2,000 replies in about 30 minutes.

The comments sections on the restaurant's Yelp and Facebook pages are now precisely the opposite. She eventually left the restaurant as as result. "Thank you for having the courage of your convictions".

As tempers flare over immigration and other policies, it's getting harder for top Trump administration officials to get a good meal anywhere near Washington D.C.

Earlier this week, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was confronted by protesters at a Mexican restaurant in Washington D.C. Protesters yelled "Shame!"

"How can you enjoy a Mexican dinner as you're deporting, imprisoning tens of thousands of people who come here seeking asylum in the United States?" one of the activists cried out in a 10-minute video the group posted on social media.
