Following the Champions League final, where the Senegal global scored the Reds' equaliser, reports suggested he had agreed a move to Spain.

"But you never know what will happen in the future".

The winger finally addressed the speculation by expressing that he is "very happy" at Liverpool (via Liverpool Echo).

"I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years", Mane told Austrian newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten.

Real Madrid went on to win the match 3-1 but despite that disappointment, Mane says he wants to stay at Liverpool. In two seasons under Klopp, Mane has made 73 appearances and scored 33 goals in all competitions.

Mane has proved a consistent attacking threat since joining from Southampton in 2016, and the Senegal worldwide was instrumental in Liverpool's run to the Champions League final last season.

Mané's strike partner Mohamed Salah will also be continuing at Liverpool next season.

This was quickly refuted by Liverpool-based journalists, with the Reds looking to extend Mane's contract this summer, but speaking on the eve of the tournament he was still questioned on a move. The defeat is but ticked off. "The whole club worked hard for this Champions League title, but Real Madrid were the better team that day", he said.

England could come up against Senegal in the second round of the World Cup, which could see Mané potentially line up directly against teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
