The release of Akshay Kumar starrer is bigger than Hindi Medium, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and in the same range as Secret Superstar but it has failed to beat any of these films as far as opening day is concerned. It was screened in 11,500 screens across the country.

"'Toilet Hero' makes a whopping 15 million Yuan equivalent to Rs 15.8 crore on Day 1 at the Chinese box office!"
