Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be "very angry" and "absolutely disgusted" with what he deems to be a "derisory" contract offer from Real Madrid.
The report says Ronaldo is "determined' to part ways with Madrid this summer, but only to ply his trade in a handful of specific competitions".
Madrid's management has offered the forward a contract whereby he could earn 25 million euros ($29.5 million) a year, while Ronaldo has insisted on a yearly salary of 30 million euros ($35.4 million). The celebrated footballer had rejected a "heavily bonus-based" new contract earlier this year, according to Daily Mail.
Real are believed to be open to the idea of selling the 33-year-old, following Zinedine Zidane's resignation as manager last month.
A romantic return to Manchester United has always been on the cards, as has opting for a lucrative change of scene with Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Real full-back Marcelo said he is hopeful of Neymar playing for the La Liga club and that that there is place for both the Brazilian striker and Ronaldo at the club.
Ronaldo is now training with the Portuguese national squad, who are gearing up for the upcoming World Cup in Russian Federation.
Despite not scoring a goal, the Real star's return to the side following a brief break after the Champions League final, inspired them to end a two-match winless streak.
