Halo Infinite announced for Xbox One, Windows 10

Microsoft announces ‘Halo Infinite’

Microsoft announced the latest Halo game to open their E3 2018 press conference with Halo Infinite for Xbox One. Titled Halo Infinite, its new in-engine reveal trailer is seen above.

The game is being developed by 343 Industries in the new Slipstream Engine, which we don't know much about yet but it will undoubtedly be an improvement on past Halo engines. The camera then zooms back to reveal a familiar-looking person in an iconic suit of armor: Master Chief. The game is slated for a release on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.

Developer 343 Industries released the last entry in the series, Halo 5: Guardians, in 2015.

You can check out the trailer below, and see if it entices you.

"With Halo infinite, we will join Master Chief on his greatest adventure yet to save humanity", Microsoft head of Xbox Phil Spencer said by way of cryptic, elliptical praise on stage at the briefing.
