About 30 teenagers held a moment of silence for the victims of the Santa Fe high school shooting in Texas.

Fewer entrances may have prevented 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, Jr. from concealing his father's Remington 870 shotgun and.38-caliber revolver under a long coat on a hot day unnoticed, Patrick alleged. "I believe, and the parents of the students I've talked to in Santa Fe since Friday believe, they should be", said Patrick. He said the nature of the probe remains unclear, because kids have not been interviewed on this matter.

The sheriff said, "there were minimal shots fired, at least from us, from law enforcement" during the exchange.

"We find this a disgusting display of disregard of the toll gun violence takes", the group said on Twitter, adding Monday that it was gratified by the change.

He also said the guns allegedly used in the shooting were kept in the gun cabinet of Pagourtzis's father but it was unclear how they were accessed.

However, as the shooting becomes the latest in a long series of deadly ones at USA schools and becomes another pointer in the US' long-running debate over gun ownership, the killing of Karachi-born exchange student Sabika Sheikh has left the whole of Pakistan reeling from horror and grief.

"It would be everything from school design to metal detectors to background checks and making sure people lock up their guns away from their ammo".

"There's nothing wrong with reasonable, pragmatic (gun) restrictions", Sylvester Turner said at a news conference. They included measures to buy back guns, improve gun safety education and create a lethal violence protective order to stop a potentially risky person from buying or possessing a firearm.
