Samsung, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer has announced its next in Galaxy J series (J stands for Joy) on the Twitter page.
With the smartphone market in India burgeoning with new users and increasing demands, it will be interesting to see whether Samsung's new Galaxy J6 manages to woo the customers. It's going to do just that with the Galaxy J6, although India Today Tech has learned there may be at least one more Galaxy J phone coming along with Samsung's hallmark Infinity display in the days to come.
After giving its A-series the Infinity treatment, Samsung looks set to bring bezel-less screens to the masses in India through its affordable Galaxy J line-up.
Earlier specifications of the Galaxy J6 were leaked online by SamMobile along with specifications of another smartphone called Galaxy J4. The device will be pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo on top of Samsung Experience. The Galaxy J6 will have the model number SM-J600F and it was spotted on GeekBench as well. The device is expected to pack a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity Display with 720x1480 resolution. On the front is a 24-megapixel selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. It will also likely to be released with 32GB and 64GB storage options. Despite running the modern Android 8.0 Oreo OS, this thing packs a pretty bad 2GB RAM and an outdated Exynos 7870 processor, which probably means the so-called J7 Aero won't be similar to the India-exclusive J7 Duo after all.
The other Galaxy J4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch HD display with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and will be powered by Exynos 7570 chipset with 2GB/3GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery.
Budget Samsung features such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Savings are also likely to make a comeback.
