Jay Hernandez has the title role in a modern take of"Magnum P.I." one of three new dramas CBS will field this fall

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the former staff of the newsmagazine FYI is now running a morning show on cable, titled Murphy in the Morning. Jay Hernandez plays the 2018 model of Thomas Magnum, the private investigator that "Blue Bloods" star Tom Selleck portrayed for CBS in the 1980s. Zachary Knighton plays Rick.

Back in 1996 when he ran CBS' entertainment division, Leslie Moonves started an annual breakfast meeting with reporters on the day CBS presented its fall schedule to advertisers. The original series with Daly and Sharon Gless aired its final episodes in (you guessed it) 1988 - indeed, 30 years ago this month. However, the success of ABC's "Roseanne" apparently persuaded the network to get it on the air sooner. The humorous drama is led by Brandon Michael Hall and his character Miles Finer is an outspoken atheist whose life gets completely flipped upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from God.

On Tuesday nights, viewers will be treated to a brand new drama called "FBI". FBI, set in the bureau's NY office, stars Missy Peregrym (Rookie Blue), Zeeko Zaki (Valor), Jeremy Sisto (Law & Order), and Ebonée Noel (Still Star-Crossed).

"FBI" will be the first Wolf-produced network show since 2003 that's not on NBC. The network also canceled "Scorpion" and Kevin James' "Kevin Can Wait".

SUNDAY: 7 p.m., "60 Minutes;" 8 p.m., "God Friended Me;" 9 p.m., "NCIS: Los Angeles;" 10 p.m., "Madam Secretary".

"The Big Bang Theory" enters its 12th year this fall, and is still a draw: This season's finale, in which the Amy and Sheldon characters Wednesday, was the most-watched show last week.

CBS also announced two dramas and a comedy on the bench for midseason. "The Red Line", a drama about three Chicago families, stars Noah Wyle.

RENWED: "60 Minutes", "48 Hours", "The Amazing Race", "Big Bang Theory", "Celebrity Big Brother", "Bull", "Blue Bloods", "Criminal Minds", "Elementary", "Hawaii Five-O", "Instinct", "Life In Pieces", "MacGyver", "Madam Secretary", "Man with a Plan", "Mom", "NCIS", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "NCIS: New Orleans", "The Price Is Right", "Salvation", "SEAL Team", "Survivor", "SWAT", "The Young and the Restless", "Young Sheldon".
