Eagles RT Lane Johnson trash talks the Patriots yet again

Lane Johnson claims Patriots owner and coach trash-talked Eagles before Super Bowl

Lane Johnson says Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft talked trash before Super Bowl LII

But perhaps Johnson provided some grounds for why he despises New England and their methodology and philosophy for running the organization.

"Here's what pissed me off", Johnson said, via NFL.com.

"There was obviously some stuff behind closed doors". However, the veteran offensive lineman made an eyebrow-raising assertion when he claimed that Patriots Coach Bill Belichick was "talking [crap]" to his own head coach, Doug Pederson, before the Super Bowl. Bill talking s-t to our head coach before the game. "But a lot of (expletive) kind of built to that, and I just got exhausted of hearing about it, man, to be honest".

Light, a career-long New England Patriot, held arguably the most important job in the region for more than a decade.

"As proud as I am of Matt's many contributions to those championship teams, I truly believe that his lasting legacy will be measured by the many positive things he and his wife, Susie, have done to help others in the community".

There hasn't been anything else reported on trash-talking between the owners and coaches. When Johnson was on Pardon My Take right after the Super Bowl he made the Patriots sound like a cult. "We had a hard time doing that - he had 505 yards". Hell yes, they win.

Although Light would fail to win another Super Bowl, he helped the team make it to two more Super Bowl appearances, falling both times to the New York Giants. "No, I don't. That's just the God's honest truth".

Johnson, who was suspended 10 games in 2016 for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, also said he wanted to show his teammates not to fear the Patriots - something he thinks happens often as a result of the team's history of success. I'm out there talking [expletive] to them, but my meeting rooms, I'm telling our guys that and I think a lot of times before games, a lot of guys are beat mentally.

"They're successful, but when they go to interviews, they act like (expletive) robots". We can be cordial for a little bit.

Johnson suggested that he'd rather win one championship having fun, like the Eagles clearly did, than win multiple Super Bowl's under the bordering on oppressive nature of Bill Belichick's regime. I graduated top of my class in kindergarten and know that 5 is greater than 1.

Throughout his 11-year career, in which he became one of just four National Football League players to start in five Super Bowls, Light excelled despite battling Crohn's Disease.

Here's to hoping that Eagles-Patriots emerges as one of the sport's best rivalries in the years to come. The Patriots faced the St. Louis Rams to cap off the 2001 season in Super Bowl XXXVI, and Light's work as the starting left tackle was instrumental in the unlikely victory.
