Stardew Valley Comes to PS Vita With May Release Date

Stardew Valley PS Vita release date confirmed

Stardew Valley Is Out For PlayStation Vita Next Week

If the death knell of the PS Vita hadn't been sounded loud enough before, Sony just told the friar to climb the bell tower and ring it out once more.

In Stardew Valley, you inherit your grandfather's old farm and armed with some hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new country life! This will leave fans and owners of the device to only be able to buy games digitally via digital download using the PS Store.

One thing to keep in mind is that Stardew Valley's Vita release will be exclusively a single player experience, but that's the way that many people would suggest you play it, anyway. If you want to get any physical Vita cards for your collection, now is the time to buy. Still, it's nice to see the PS Vita get some love, even if Sony likes to pretend it doesn't exist.

Anyone who has played Stardew Valley on the Nintendo Switch can attest to how perfectly suited the game is to a portable gaming platform.

It is still unclear as to what will become of the PS Vita, but like we said all of this seems to point towards Sony potentially discontinuing the console in the future. Do you already own a copy on PS4? The hardware manufacturer emailed game developers today to let them know that they "plan to end all Vita GameCard production by close of fiscal year 2018", in both Europe and America.
