The mid-range Nokia X6 will fall along the line of the Nokia 6 (2018) in terms of pricing and will be offered in Black, Blue and White colours. There is also a notch on the display, which is the reason why the smartphone has a taller aspect ratio. Along with the camera module, the back also houses a fingerprint scanner. The Nokia X6 also supports HDR mode, filters and the ability to directly broadcast on microblogging sites via the camera.
JD, Suning and TMall are now taking pre-orders for Nokia X6 for a May 21 release date.
The listing reveals that Nokia X or X6 could feature a 5.8-inch FHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. With 95% of its body covered by glass, the phone can be obtained with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage combination or the more souped-up 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The onboard storage will be expandable via microSD card. The Snapdragon 636 chipset has been quite successful in devices so far. There is no information if the smartphone will be coming to India or not. Powering the device is a non-removable Li-Ion 3060 mAh battery and the phone is expected to run Android Oreo. We are still a couple of years away from budget smartphones adopting the USB C port altogether but, this is a great step by HMD Global.
The vertically placed dual-camera setup is in the usual Nokia position but, the "Carl Zeiss" branding is missing. On the camera front, the Nokia X6 has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16MP autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it will mark a 16MP sensor with "AI Skills".
HMD Global, the company that now holds the right to manufacture and sell Nokia phones, had scheduled a launch event in China last month on April 27th. The smartphone has been introduced in China market for now and may soon be arriving to other countries as well.
