The internet was seemingly split Tuesday when a circulating audio clip asked listeners to choose: Do they hear "Yanny?"
- There's a new debate taking over social media and it's not about what you can see, it's about what you can hear.
But just about everyone is pointing to this Reddit post from Roland Camry as the original source of the Laurel-Yanny conundrum.
Three days ago, a video of a voice stating one word, has divided the internet as people say they hear one word versus another word. "Either 'Yanny" or 'Laurel'". When I listen to it, I clearly hear "Laurel" and believed that anyone hearing the other option was a troll.
I have no idea how anyone else can hear anything but "Laurel" - even when I heard a change in the bass level provided by another tweet. The grass is always greener.
