Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders but Daniel Levy must loosen purse strings to take Spurs to next level

Pochettino's future at Spurs has become increasingly uncertain following a string of comments from the Argentine ahead of talks with chairman Daniel Levy regarding his transfer budget for the summer window.

Not only is there the obvious rivalry between the clubs, but Chelsea haven't even qualified for next season's Champions League, while Tottenham have booked their place in Europe's top competition for the third straight season.

Spurs will be hoping that his loyalty to the club will overcome that lure.

The South Korean, who featured in as many as 37 games in the league this season, insists that the fans have been the reason behind their progress.

Watching Spurs at their new stadium won't be cheap, with the cheapest season ticket costing £795 for adults and the most expensive £1,995 - the costliest anywhere in the Premier League.

Chelsea finished fifth this season and if Pochettino was to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, he would be missing out on Champions League football next season. I don't know if the club will agree with me or not, but we are going to talk next week to create what I think we need to do together to improve.

The Spurs boss has hinted at his frustration over the club's failure to back him in the transfer market, saying after Sunday's 5-4 win over Leicester: "If we want to play and be real contenders for big, big trophies, yes, we need to review a little".

I heard from the same source that told sky sports news re poch going to Chelsea.

"Sometimes I have insane ideas in this type of situation". With our unbelievable fans, sometimes you need to be courageous and take risks. "Pre-season; come back and hopefully me and Ben start from scratch and we start again and work hard to nail that number one spot".
