According to the most recent budget proposal, introduced last week, Muskegon Schools is considering getting rid of four high school teachers, two middle school teachers, some administrative staff, three youth safety advocates and tutors that are not required by law. The panel also will hear about electronic texts for the District's new physics of Earth and Space courses.
Once renovated, the 4,000-square-foot residence will be a 7,200-square-foot office building.

Voting will be from 2 to 8 p.m.at the Wainscott School. Former Gov. Mike Pence often said that if students can be graded every day, schools can be graded every year.
Residents of Cohoes will also vote on the establishment of a capital reserve fund and elect two members to the Board of Education. She will be joined on the board by newcomer Jordana Sobey, who will be replacing Stephanie Bitis, who will not be running for reelection.
A drop-in for Hopkins took place Monday. The budget proposal is up by about $240,000 from the current 2017-18 budget, and is subject to district voters' approval in the May 15 election.
Voters in the East Greenbush Central School District will head to the polls from 7 a.m.to 9 p.m.to vote on a proposed budget, which maintains all current programs and services, totals $94.3 million, an increase of 2.29% from a year ago. Any increase to the tax rate will be offset significantly by lowered maintenance costs, the district said in its budget newsletter.
