Nigerians make brisk business from Lazy Nigerian Youth T-Shirts, Caps - The controversial comment attributed to president Muhammadu Buhari alleging that Nigerian youths are lazy has progressed from strong criticism to brisk business venture as "Lazy Nigerian Youth" T-Shirts and Caps has been spotted in merchandise shops.

The President took off from London on Saturday afternoon and arrived at Abuja after 7 pm.

Buhari also met with a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He returned with good agreements in oil and gas; military training and intelligence support in the war against terror and the UK Government is to give Nigeria counter-IED kit worth £1m, which is also in the news.

"A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country, therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare, and education free".

The comments elicited furious reactions from many Nigerians and sparked a debate with some defending the President and others criticising him.

"The office wishes to state that former President Rawlings has made no comment whatsoever nor issued a statement on the comments by President Buhari", a statement issued by Mr Rawlings office said.

He continued, "if Nigeria was without opportunities for the youths like this when President Buhari was a youth, he would have probably ended up as a local farmer, rearing cows in Daura".

Five days later, he told the British PM that while politicians are preoccupied with the forthcoming general elections, he is more concerned about the security of the people and the growth of the Nigerian economy.

The presidential aide wondered if the PDP was expecting the President to return to the country with sex and financial scandals as was obtainable when the party was in charge of the country. God bless Nigeria. Please share...
