A source revealed, "While there has been so much confusion and speculation about the leading lady in Bharat, the makers have chosen to stay quiet as the discussion with several actresses continued". I'm looking forward to begin shooting this film and working with Salman and Ali again after a considerable time.

Ali Abbas Zafar and producer Atul Agnihotri travelled to NY to meet Priyanka and gave her the narration of the film. "We couldn't have asked for anyone better than her to play this role". Priyanka Chopra will be joining the much anticipated film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. As the love story in Bharat is very mature and quite subtle, we needed an actor who could portray this in the best possible way.

Salman's Bharat went on floors yesterday. "She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Salman in his journey and is the catalyst who triggers what will be a turning point in the plot". The film is a remake of the Korean movie Ode To My Father (2014) and is reported to span seven decades starting from 15 August 1947. "It is a attractive story". Director Ali Abbas Zafar took to his Twitter account to share the latest updates on the movie. Salman Khan will be seen playing a man sporting the look from 17 years to 70 years old. We think no one but Priyanka could have done justice to this role.

Barely a couple of weeks ago, producers were in a state of near panic with the likelihood of their projects featuring Salman Khan having to be shelved after the superstar was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison by a court in Jodhpur. Their chemistry in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in 2004 is still talked about.

This is Priyanka's first Bollywood film after Jai Gangaajal; the actor has been busy with her Hollywood commitments and ABC TV show Quantico. This is a flawless time for PC to come back home, isn't it?
