Nintendo Switch Version Of Minecraft Will Have Xbox Achievements

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Coming to Nintendo Switch

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Delayed, Adds Switch Version

The Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft will soon bring Xbox Live achievements to the hybrid console, as part of an upcoming update for the game.

Developer Dark Star Games Studio and publisher Another Indie have announced that it plans to release its upcoming Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption on the Nintendo Switch.

A spokesperson from Minecraft said that indeed all this was true. This means you can play it on Nintendo Switch and earn gamerscore points to add on top of the ones you gained playing on Xbox One and Windows 10.

The studio explained in its announcement that it has remastered and optimized Jotun for its Switch release and also has made gameplay optimizations and adjustments tailored to the system's handheld mode. The game's Bedrock update started rolling out in September 2017 and allowed players on Xbox, mobile, VR and PC to play across those various platforms. Now we are seeing a massive influx of indie games on the Switch, the triple A titles are yet to start flowing in, this makes me question how far can the Nintendo Switch sales really go. The Switch is just a little over a year on the market.

If you're looking for deals this week, Shovel Knight is going back on sale with Specter of Torment for Nintendo Switch on sale for $7.99 and Treasure Trove for $19.99.
