Federline and his attorney contacted Jamie last Friday to increase his monthly child support from $20,000 to an unspecified amount, claiming he wanted to be able to take care of their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, at the level Spears now can, TMZ reported. He said Federline has to be able to support them in the same way Spears can, but Jamie said Spears is taking care of her children the same way she always has.
On Friday, K-Fed reportedly requested even more money from the Piece of Me singer, and that she review her child support payments to him. When they had their meeting, his attorney said that Britney and Federline's kids (12-year-old Sean and 11-year-old Jayden) are older now so he needs more than that.
Despite the former backing dancer, 39, already pulling in £14,000 a month in child support payments from Britney, 36, he's now saying it's not enough.
Britney is still living under the conservatorship of her father Jamie, who was put in charge of her finances after her highly-publicised breakdown in 2007. Kevin's lawyer said his client needed the means to take care of the kids at Britney's level.
Our sources say the lawyer repeatedly talked about Britney's recent successes - particularly her sold-out Vegas shows - saying she was making a lot more money.
He also argued the "Womanizer" hitmaker's success has nothing to do with the needs of the children and insisted his daughter wasn't responsible for taking care of Kevin and his other children. She current co-parents with Federline after losing sole custody back in 2008.
