A baby's birth is one of the most attractive moments that one can ever expect to go through in their life.
Incredible photos capturing the moment a pregnant tourist gave birth to her baby in the Red Sea close to the resort town of Dahab, Egypt, have gone viral. But, not for this Russian mother who seems to have had a breezy labour while swimming in the Red Sea.
The mother's identity has not been revealed, nor has the condition of the child - though both appeared happy and healthy after the delivery.
The photographs were taken by the uncle of Hadia Hosny El Said, an Egyptian badminton star. The photos taken by Mohamed Elsaid from a balcony of a hotel he owns shows the woman, her husband and a doctor. Photos of the woman, her husband, and an older man - reported to be a doctor - have been circulating on social media. Another image shows the mother walking back to the shore.
Onlookers are being described as stunned and shocked and say the woman had gone into the Red Sea "for a swim" before going into labor.
Hadia said this man is a Russian doctor specialising in water births, meaning the event was planned beforehand.
The pictures shared on Facebook on Saturday went viral.
On the appeal of water births, the parenting website also says: "The water helps you to relax and produce endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, which keeps you calm and reduces the pain of contractions".
According to the American Pregnancy Association, the theory behind water birth is that since the baby has already been in the amniotic fluid sac for nine months, birthing in a similar environment could be less stressful for the baby as well as the mother.
