Skyrim VR heading to PC in April

Bethesda brings PSVR chart-topper Skyrim VR to SteamVR PCs on April 3

Skyrim VR releases on Steam next month for $60

It's a lot easier to put yourself in the action when you feel like you're actually in it, and that's exactly what Skyrim VR does.

"Whether you're a longtime fan or taking on the horned mantle of the Dragonborn for the first time, Skyrim VR for SteamVR promises an epic journey in virtual reality across a massive world for you to explore any way you choose". Although the page does not display the PC configuration requirements (as of yet at least), what we do know is that the game will be $59.99 and will be playable on the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

"Skyrim VR contains the complete critically-acclaimed core game as well as all its official add-ons - Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn - in one package". It's a safe bet that the game will be good, but you can check out our PSVR review if you have any doubts.

Skyrim isn't the only recent Bethesda hit to get a VR port - here's Dave on why Fallout 4's Vive exclusivity is a bad thing for VR.

VR gaming is still sort of working itself out at the moment, with most games delivering an arcade style experience. If there were ever a game that's been launched on every platform, Skyrim is certainly approaching that honor. As with the original PlayStation VR version of Skyrim VR, the new PC release will cost a full $60.
