Television actor Narendra Jha, who has acted in several successful shows including Shanti, Itihaas, Choona Hai Aasmaan and Captain House, died today (March 14) early morning due to cardiac arrest. He didn't have any health issue.
He was also seen in movies such as Force 2, Kaabul, Mohenjo Daro, Ghayal Once Again and Humari Adhuri Kahaani. Jha played a bootlegger who crosses paths with SRK's Raees in 1960s state of Gujarat. He sat with me on the grass and we ate dinner together from one plate.
The actor's driver told IANS that Narendra was at his farmhouse in Nanegaon, Maharashtra, when he complained of chest pain in the morning.
Born in Bihar's Madhubani, Jha made debut in Bollywood in the 90s.
Narendra Jha starred opposite Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 film, Raees.
Narendra Jha's death saw a wave of tributes paid to the actor.
Kaabil director Sanjay Gupta tweeted: "I refuse to accept it".
He may have bid adieu to the mortal world, but Narendra Jha will continue to live on in people's memories and the films he has been part of. We lost one of the greatest physicists, Stephen Hawking and an actor, Narendra Jha. "Rest In Peace my friend", wrote Hrithik Roshan. Such a splendid actor and a marvellous human being. What an actor. This is absolutely shocking. "May God bless your soul".
The actor was roped in Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's Saaho, Rajkummar Rao's Priceless and a couple of other projects.
