The "Melrose Place" star was charged with five misdemeanor counts: four counts of battery on a peace officer and one count of resisting, obstructing, or delaying a peace officer, Ventura County Deputy District Attorney Tom Dunlevy told CNN.
Sheriff's officials said Locklear kicked, pushed and shouted at deputies who were answering a report that she had been violent with her boyfriend February 26. When cops arrived they observed injuries to the boyfriend and placed Heather under arrest for felony domestic violence.
Locklear's representatives did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
She'll no longer face charges related to allegedly battering her boyfriend, People confirmed.
Sgt Buschow told the LA Times more police had to be called to the house because she was resisting arrest.
As well as Melrose Place, she later appeared on TV police drama TJ Hooker and sitcom Spin City, for which she was twice nominated for a Golden Globe.
Locklear continued, reportedly saying that she hoped nobody would burn down the police department and telling officers they better never come to her home again. She has one daughter, Ava, from that second marriage, which dissolved in 2006.
"You f**ks deserve your kids to die! And when you find yourself in that position, think of me!"
Her threat to shoot police officers prompted authorities to search her home. While Locklear does have a firearm registered in her name, police were unable to locate it, according to Global News.
Locklear has struggled with substance abuse in the past and most recently had entered rehab previous year.
