Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth Reunite for New Series Inspired by 90210

Are you ready to go back to the 90210? Spelling teased the news with an Instagram post over the weekend, in which she unveiled that she had partnered Garth on a 90210-related project, with a #donnaandkellyforever, a reference to the actresses' Beverly Hills, 90210 characters. The project is now in development and would be featuring Spelling and Garth portraying exaggerated versions of themselves, as per a report.

"#back2work great creative day yesterday with my #partnerincrime @jenniegarth #90210vibes #donnaandkellyforver #besties", she wrote in the caption.

Spelling's wellness check comes after police were called to her Woodland Hills, California, home last Thursday after receiving a "mental illness" call, which a source told ET was a "huge wake-up call" for the 44-year-old actress that she needs to focus more on her health. Police and Spelling did not immediately return PEOPLE's request for comment. The original series ran from 1990 to 2000 and was one of the properties of Spelling's legendary television producer father, Aaron Spelling.

"Our kids are becoming friends which is really cool", Spelling said in 2014 at The MOMS Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein's screening of their then-new show, ABC Family series Mystery Girls, as she explained how their friendship had come full circle.

This won't be the first time Spelling and Garth have teamed up since 90210.
