Aside from that, State of Decay 2 is sounding pretty good, and will be out on 22nd May. This news is made even more notable considering that the first State of Decay, which was released on the Xbox 360 in 2013, did feature microtransactions. Last week, we announced that State of Decay 2 will be launching on May 22, 2018 with both a Standard Edition and an Ultimate Edition (as well as a part of Xbox Game Pass). The choices made by players while in charge of this community of individuals will shape a unique story.
As seen in the image above, this physical special edition comes with several goodies fitting the game's theme, which includes an exclusive SteelBook case, a "human brain" stand for it, a 4GB severed "thumb-drive", a zombie mask, and a State of Decay iron-on patch.
It has been a common practice among publishers and developers to add in-game stores, credits, loot boxes, and other means to get players to spend real money on in-game items or perks, as Gamespot notes.
"State of Decay 2", instead, will turn to offering more than one DLC packs after launch.
Of course, if you are not interested in purchasing the collector edition of the game, you can certainly purchase the standard edition for $29.99, ultimate edition for $49.99 which will also give you an early access to the game.
The collector's edition should be available for you to pre-order at your favorite gaming retailer soon for a price of $69.99.
