Asus Zenfone 5 Max flaunts Snapdragon 660 on Geekbench

Asus has already announced three new smartphones last month at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018, but the ZenFone 5 Max, one of the devices leaked back in January, was not among them.

In the GeekBench listing, the Asus Zenfone 5 Max got 1518 points in single-core test and in multi-core test it received 5386 points. The benchmark listing reveals the key specifications of the smartphone and these seem to be surprising. The processor is said to be paired with 4GB RAM. The handset is based on the Android 8.0.0 Oreo operating system. It is also rumoured to come with 64GB internal storage and some reports also suggest that Asus might be tempted to place a notch on top of the Asus Zenfone 5 Max display which could be similar to the iPhone X in terms of looks. We say so as the previous generation Zenfone Max models utilized low-end MediaTek chipsets.

Asus ZenFone 4 Pro is the latest smartphone from the company that is receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Also, it is good to know that the Asus Zenfone 5 Max will come with Android 8.0 Oreo which should be expected from each and every smartphone releasing in 2018 as Android Oreo was released a year ago. For now, there is no word on the other specifications that this smartphone from Asus might arrive with.

The Geekbench scorecard doesn't reveal much other meaningful information about the Zenfone 5 Max, but we bet more leaks are on the way to fill us in. The update brings software version V15.0410.1802.34 and apart from Android Oreo's new features, it includes improvement in power consumption, new "long screenshot" function, better UI, and more.
