The media mogul, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, was emphatic in her response to host Kimmel's question about whether she would run.
During her interview, Oprah confirmed that she has no plans to run for the USA presidency after people began campaigning for her to become a candidate after she gave a stirring speech at the Golden Globe Awards last month (Jan18). "I am definitely not running for president", Winfrey said over cries of "no" from the studio audience.
"Ava DuVernay texted me and said, 'Call me when you get up.' I called her and she said, 'Are you aware?' I was like, 'What's going on?' She said, 'Check your feed, ' and I went, oh, no, no. Really?".
She acknowledged, though, having thought about it. "I was hoping you could accept me as the three-handed woman that I am". "And so I'm the kind of person who tries to listen to signs, I think, Am I supposed to run the country?". Born into poverty, she is now one of the world's wealthiest women and been nominated for two Academy Awards.
During an appearance on 60 Minutes, Winfrey quizzed a group of MI voters.
Upon looking back, Winfrey also revealed that during one of the meetings, she reminded the panel to include a particular conversation that discussed the democratic opinion of the focus group in order to "balance out" the discussion for the sake of fairness.
Kimmel cracked, "I feel like you already run the country", adding that "Steadman (Graham) made this into a much bigger situation". "I don't think so!'"
"The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect".
Kimmel asked the former daytime talk show queen if she thought about responding to Trump via Twitter. "I think they were moving people around and I got a third hand", she told Kimmel.
