Snapchat has said its redesign is here to stay, in spite of a petition from more than 1.2 million users begging the company to reconsider and celebrities such as Kylie Jenner abandoning the platform.
Fear not, Snapchat hears our cries: "We hear you, and appreciate that you took the time to let us know how you feel", they said in a response released on Thursday.
Shares in Snap - the app's parent company - closed 6% down on the USA stock market after Jenner's post, which was in reference to a controversial recent redesign of the photo sharing app.
The 20-year-old tweeted disapproval of the redesign of the company's video messaging app Snapchat, calling it 'so sad'. Also, now that Kylie isn't on Snapchat as much, should we expect more content on her Instagram Stories?
The company explained the update was meant to make it "easier to connect with people you care the most", but revealed a new update will be coming in the next few weeks.
The next day, Snapchat felt that sadness as their stock dropped significantly.
